Melodies from Arabia

The cornerstone for this series were instruments that originated within the Arab world. I wanted to highlight and cherish these beautifully euphonic tools which sadly, we don't hear quite as often as before in today's music scene, although they have contributed an awful lot to Arab history and heritage.

Other than the visual process, it was also a great learning experience for me exploring the origins and history of these extraordinary tools. Currently translating them into paintings and prints which will soon be available on the website shop. Stay posted!
